But is it unpatriotic?

Eh, I'm gonna take a minute to get briefly political...as I've said, I really don't like politics and what I do or don't do is really my business.

Let me say this. Let me say that I don't really "go" for political parties. I guess I'm independent. I don't go for the "2 party" system anymore. I wonder what happened to politics in America over time sometimes. I consider myself pretty ignorant in politics too...naive ~_~ I try to care about them because it's my "future" but I'm tired of some men at the top (and some women now, I guess) deciding my "future".

Let me say I'm just....wondering if it would be considered unpatriotic if I didn't vote in this election. It's easy to say who you want to vote for, or was for me, when you couldn't even vote. But now that I can I'm at a total loss. I reserve my right not to vote because me and American democracy are kind of done right now and I'm content to let the rest of America choose whoever they want as usual. When it comes to politics I feel like I don't even have a hand in it because it's so beyond me.

It's a typical "apathetic voter" syndrome I think, the "I don't count". So do I just give up and throw in the towel? Sort of. I feel bad for doing it but I also feel angry about it, that I feel like I'm not being given a REAL choice. For me I think there's also a little underlying current of fearing rejection too, like if who I want for office isn't voted in it feels like my country is rejecting me? I think that feeling's kinda normal too. I don't even really want that "Don't blame me" thing either. It's weird to put into words...

Eh, in the end I don't know if I care if it's "unpatriotic" or not because you (no not you) can't even tell me what real patriotism is. Gaaah, I'm so confused today...
